User guide to Install TriVice Desktop Toolbar


TriVice Desktop Toolbar Installation Guide


This guide will walk you through the installation of TriVice Desktop Toolbar on a Windows machine. Follow the steps carefully to ensure successful setup.


System Requirements:

Before installation, make sure your system meets the following requirements:

  1. Operating System: Windows 10 or higher (64-bit)
  2. Processor: Intel Core i5 or higher
  3. RAM: Minimum 8GB
  4. Storage: 500MB of free disk space
  5. Graphics: DirectX 12 compatible GPU

Step 1: Download TriVice Desktop msi file

  1. Visit the TriVice website https://trivice.net/downloads/
  2. Download the latest version of the TriVice Desktop Toolbar file (Example – Download 1.6.18) to your desired location on your computer.

In case of error when downloading the msi or exe file

When clicking on the highlighted icon on the above screenshot to start the download, if your browser flags a trust error or warns you about the file's safety, do not worry. This is a standard warning for some files.

  1. In the warning message, you will see an option to either discard or keep the file.
  1. Click on the file and select "Keep" to proceed with the download.



  1. You may see additional warnings after selecting "Keep".
  1. Click on "Show More" to reveal more options related to the file download.



  1. In the extended options, choose "Keep Anyway" to bypass the trust error. This will allow the download to proceed and complete successfully.

Step 2: Install TriVice Desktop Toolbar

  1. Locate the downloaded TriVice Desktop msi file and double-click to launch the setup wizard. 

The setup wizard will guide you through the installation process. Click Next to proceed through the steps.

NOTE: Common locations include the Downloads folder or your desktop.

  1. Choose the installation scope
  1. For current user only: Installs the program for the logged-in user.
  2. For all users: Installs the program for everyone on the system (requires administrator privileges).

  1. Review the installation summary and click Install to begin the installation process.

  1. The wizard will display the progress of the installation. Please wait while the process completes.



  1. Once finished, the wizard will confirm that the setup is successfully completed. You can now close the setup wizard by clicking on the Finish button.



Step 3: Device Setup and Login


3.1. Device Setup (One-time Activity)
As part of the initial setup, device registration is required. Once completed, this step will not need to be repeated in future logins. Select from the options and click Continue. For example:

  1. PMS: SystmOne
  2. Environment: Live
  3. Practice ODS Code: m85***

3.2. Register Device (ONLY for SystmOne users)
Send a device registration request to SystmOne by clicking the “Register” button.
Ensure that SystmOne is logged in and active on the same computer. 


3.3. Approve Device Registration Request (ONLY for SystmOne users)
Approve the device registration request within SystmOne.

3.4. Complete Registration (ONLY for SystmOne users)
After approving the request, the following screen will appear.
Click Ok to complete the device setup.

3.5. Login and Connect
Enter the user credentials of TriVice and click Connect. These credentials are configured in advance.

3.6. TriVice Desktop Ready for Use
After completing the above steps, the TriVice Desktop will be ready for use.



Step 4: Make a Referral


To refer a patient, first retrieve the patient details from SystmOne or EMIS Web for whom you wish to make the referral. Then, click on the first icon (Refer a Patient) and follow the prompts to proceed with the referral process.



Important Notes:

  1. Device Setup is only required once: The setup process in the document (steps 3.1 to 3.4) is only needed to be completed once. For all future logins, device setup will not be required. You will directly see the login screen (step 3.5), where you can enter your credentials and connect.


  1. TriVice Desktop Toolbar Active State: TriVice Desktop Toolbar will remain active unless you explicitly log out of the application. 


To Log Out: Click on the three dots (Menu) on the tool bar > click User Profile > click on Sign Out.

  1. Toolbar Customization:
  1. The toolbar can be expanded or collapsed as needed.

To expand or collapse the toolbar, click on the three dots (Menu) on the tool bar > click Collapse or Expand.

  1. If you close the toolbar, it will be hidden from view. To bring it back, simply click on the TriVice Desktop Toolbar application icon, and the toolbar will reappear.

Steps to close: Click on the three dots (Menu) on the tool bar > click Close.
